Come Ski/Ride with a Ranger!

Join the Forest Service rangers for an interpretive tour over the snow at Heavenly Mountain Resort.

The "Ski with a Ranger Program"

•  meet at the top of the Gondola
  • near the mountain message board sign
  • at the base of the stairs
• tours are offered on Mondays and Fridays
• departing at 10:00 am and 1:00 pm
• no reservations required
• just arrive at the meeting location before departure
• program lasts about one hour
• intermediate level and above are welcome
  • both skiers and snowboarders

This program is a partnership between the U.S. Forest Service and Heavenly Mountain Resort.

The tour explores:

• natural and cultural history of the Lake Tahoe Basin
• highlighting topics such as:
  • water quality
  • watershed restoration
  • habitat improvement
  • fire and fuels management
  • responsible recreation
